This papaya bowl is easy to make and cute to boot! It makes for a great light breakfast or snack to whip it up during warm weather months (or anytime) and can be a really fun, nutritious snack for kids to eat and help make too!
Get yourself a ripe organic papaya, slice in half and remove all the seeds with a big spoon.
Then you’ll need some yogurt. I like a vanilla yogurt for this, but you can try any flavor you like. If you are sensitive to dairy, Kite Hill is a good almond milk yogurt option. Coconut yogurt works great in this recipe too!
Here’s where you can add in some extra health goodness, and the best part is you won’t even know its there! The collagen dissolves in effortlessly and you can’t even taste it. This collagen is not vegan so if you are you can omit this. I also like to add in some extra probiotics to keep my immunity strong. Probiotics are best taken with food, the key is to sort of sprinkle it on top or gently mix it in.
After you’ve made your yogurt mixture, you can chop one half of your papaya into some cubes (without any skin). Add the yogurt into your ready-made “papaya” bowl”, adding your papaya cubes and sprinkling in some chia seeds! Chia seeds are a wondering brain food, packed wih Omega-3’s and lots of fiber!
And Enjoy!!!
