This Cherry Lime Nature’s Gatorade is the ultimate way to hydrate in the Summer! 🍒
Perfect for a hot day, after a workout, long walk, or just when I want something better than plain water!
It tastes so much better than store-bought sports drinks—and there’s nothing artificial in it. 🙂
Why I Love This Natural Hydration Drink
When I sweat or feel drained, water alone isn’t enough. My body needs electrolytes—minerals like potassium and sodium—to stay balanced.
That’s why I started making this homemade cherry lime electrolyte drink. It’s simple, real, and works fast!
Each ingredient adds something powerful.
Health Benefits of Cherry Lime Nature’s Gatorade
Cherries are rich in potassium and antioxidants.
Lime brings vitamin C and a tangy flavor.
Coconut water is FULL of natural electrolytes. This is my favorite brand btw!
I love adding fresh ginger to this drink. It gives a little zing and helps support digestion and reduce inflammation.
Ginger is also great for boosting circulation and calming nausea. It adds that balances the tart lime and sweet cherries!
You can easily grate it in using this microplane grater. You can even use it to add in a little lime zest if you love some extra lime flavor!
🍯 Natural Sweeteners with Benefits!!
Pure Maple syrup isn’t just a sweetener—it contains small amounts of zinc, manganese, potassium, and calcium. These minerals help with electrolyte balance and recovery after physical activity. Make sure you’re using a good quality, pure maple syrup for this.
Raw honey offers antioxidants, enzymes, and trace minerals like magnesium and iron. It also has mild antibacterial properties and can soothe digestion.
So when I use maple syrup or raw honey in this cherry lime nature’s Gatorade, I’m not just sweetening it—I’m fueling and nourishing too.
Together, this drink becomes a natural Gatorade alternative your body actually wants 🙂
What You Need To Make This
These are the amazing glass jars to make a big mocktail! It’s easy to mash the cherries and mix everything. You can also use them as big cup, which I personally love to do!
I use a potato masher to mash the cherry mixture, but you can use the back of a wooden spoon on the side of the jar a well. Be careful not to splash cherry juice 😉
Use a microplane grate in the ginger, like this one! I use it for grating ginger and fresh turmeric in to drinks, as well as lemon and lime zest.
Also, I highly recommend you using a plastic cutting board or plate when cutting the cherries so you don’t stain any wooden boards. This is a BPA-free one similar to the one I use.
