Chocolate Orange Cardamom Ice Cream

Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 frozen oranges peeled and halved
  • 1 15 oz. can coconut cream, chilled overnight thick part only
  • 1/3 cup cacao or carob powder
  • 2 1/2 tbsp cashew butter
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tbsp dandy blend
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 drops orange essential oil (optional) food grade, I used DoTerra brand
  • pinch of flakey salt

Instructions
 

  • Peel, half and remove seeds of 4-5 oranges. Place in freezer bag or container and freeze for at least 5 hours.
  • For the orange peel cups: Slice off the top of the orange and use a large spoon to remove all juices and interior flesh. (how to video on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok). Freeze hallowed out oranges for several hours as well.
  • Once oranges are frozen, remove from freezer and allow to thaw for 10 minutes. Then add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
  • Scoop into frozen orange cups or pour into airtight container to freeze for at least 1-2 hours before enjoying. You can freeze for up to 5 days before thawing for about 15-20 minutes before enjoying!
