FAQS
WHAT RICE PAPER DO YOU USE IN THIS RECIPE?
There are several rice paper brands I’ve used but I really love these from Blue Dragon. I have these stocked in my pantry so I literally never run out of rice paper to have on hand.
WHAT AIR FRYER DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR THIS RECIPE?
I use my power xl for all my air fryer recipes, including this one! It has many functions and I also use it to heat up leftovers on a lower temp like 350F for just a few minutes.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE AN AIR FRYER, CAN I MAKE THIS RECIPE?
Yes, if you don’t have an air fryer you can pan fry these as well. Add about 1-2 tbs of avocado oil to a sauté pan with medium-high heat and cook the dumplings on each side for 3-5 minutes or until desired crispy. Place onto a paper towel and allow to cool for a few minutes before cutting in half.

- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp arrowroot starch
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Remaining Ingredients:
- 8 rice paper sheets see preferred brand linked above
- avocado oil or coconut oil spray or you can brush on oil if you don't have a spray
Instructions
- Mix together all Apple Pie ingredients together in a bowl.
- Then add to a saute pan and cook on medium heat for about 5-10 minutes. Then remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.
- Fill a large shallow plate with water and soak rice pepper (making sure the entire rice paper gets coated with water for about 5 seconds.
- Remove to place on another clean plate or work surface.
- Place 1/2 cup or so the apple pie filling mixture into the middle of the rice paper into a rectangular shape.
- Use your hands to fold over the bottom end of the rice paper over the filling, then fold in both sides of the rice paper over the filling in the middle. Then finally fold over the top piece of the rice paper end to complete your dumplings.
- Repeat this process of soaking another piece of rice paper and placing on to a clean dry plate to wrap the dumpling in one more layer of rice paper. Repeat the process with the remaining filling, should make about 4 dumplings)
- Then spray both sides of the dumplings with avocado oil or coconut oil. Alternatively you can use a pastry brush to brush oil on them.
- Place into the air fryer at 400F for 6 minutes. Flip with tongs and cook for an additional 6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Then add to a plate of 2 tbsp of coconut sugar and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to coat the dumplings in cinnamon sugar mixture.
